This work is an evocative description of a winter’s day, wandering through the snow looking for an impression, or inspiration, or nothing really.
Travelling on foot down a hill through a small village into a valley where a small burn winds its way through the trees. Footsteps carry us along. Like a meditation, each step along the way brings something else to look at and one more thing to consider. As an instrumentalist, I often practise segments and passages in my mind while walking. There is also a feature from a squeaky gate, a closing door, a bus driving by, and a bicycle coming down the hill.
